A meta-analysis of six different studies supports the use of cinnnamon in managing high blood sugar.   In these studies, diabetic patients were given between 1 and 6 grams of cinnamon per day.  The results showed that HbA1C and FPG, measures of long-term and short-term exposure to excess glucose, declined with cinnamon use.
