Monday's Dr. Oz show introduced us to using chocolate for weight loss. He recommended a product called CocoaWell that includes cocoa powder and green tea extract.
In a 2005 study published in the journal Nutrition, animals given cocoa extract weighed significantly less and and also had lower body fat than their non-cocoa counterparts when all the animals were fed a high fat diet.
Vavalert is also an extract of cocoa, like the CocoaWell. It was originally designed to boost memory, concentration, and focus. It contains the cocoa flavonoids found in CocoaWell, but is also a concentrated source of theobromine, a chocolate compound with a reputation for mood support and energy. Like the Cocoawell, Vavalert is low in caffeine and contains a green tea extract.
