Higher CoQ10, Lower Coronary Artery Disease

Patients having at least one coronary artery blocked by 50% had significantly lower levels of blood Coq10 when compared to healthy controls.  Those with coronary artery disease were deficient in the important antioxidants catalase and glutathione peroxidase.  Low levels of these heart protective antioxidants were linked to low Coq10 levels.
