At Sundrops, we are always on the lookout for the latest research on natural substances.  Sometimes they come out with lights flashing like resveratrol.  Other times the data trickles out slowly and you have to pay attention.

We are intrigued by the research coming out on black cumin seed.  It seems to be one of those substances like resveratrol and curcumin that has positive impacts on a wide variety of conditions.

In one study it was given to type II diabetics and they found it significantly improved insulin resistance, HbA1c levels, and fasting blood glucose.  Another study showed it improved triglycerides, total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol in subjects with hyperlipidemia.

When given to patients with rheumatoid arthritis, it reduced inflammation and swelling of joints while improving morning stiffness.  When we see a natural substance have results like these, we put it in our radar.
