Do you eat enough vegetables and fruits?  We’ll a new study shows the relationship between carotenoids, which are found in the red and yellow fruits and veggies, and heart attack risk.

Researchers looked at the blood concentrations of lycopene and beta-carotene in over 1,000 men.  They were followed for an average of 11 years.  What they found was that those whose carotenoids levels were the lowest had a significantly higher risk of having a heart attack than those who had the highest levels.

Carotenoids have been researched for their health benefits regarding many other conditions.  Jarrow Formulas has one of the best supplements that combines all the carotenoids in one soft gel called CarotenAll.
