THE CHOLESTEROL PROTOCOL

Keeping your cholestrol levels low, particularly the LDL portion, is a smart thing.
Eating a balanced diet designed to help your body work better and to help you maintain low waistline fat is a good place to
start.
There are many substances and nutrients that have shown
to reduce cholesterol in studies but first, a little cholesterol background.- HDL - refers to your protective cholesterol; it takes cholesterol from
the blood to the liver for processing.
- LDL - works to deliver cholesterol into the bloodstream
so cells can use it for structure.

THE PREFERRED NUTRIENTSIn addition to appropriate dietary habits, the following patented nutrients have all shown significant
benefits in studies: - Sytrinol
-- a combination of palm and citrus fruit extracts that lowered LDL up to 27%.
- Cholesterin with
Niacin -- blocks the absorption of cholesterol in the digestive tract. This combination lowered LDL up to 37% and increased
HDL an average of 25%.
- Sterols -- a plant source that blocks cholesterol absorption of LDL up
to 24%.
- Policosanol -- an extract from sugar cane wax that reduced LDL by up to 28% at 20mg
per day

A combination of naturally occurring substances that lowers
cholesterol produced in the liver and ones that bind cholesterol in the digestive tract is a good plan. It makes sense
to incorporate natural approaches in reducing your cholesterol even if you are on a statin drug. Lowering your cholesterol
as much as you can in a non-toxic way may reduce or eliminate the need for medication with potentially more side effects.
Our Sundrops staff can assist you with a cholesterol program individually designed for your benefit.Research and nutritional information
included is not intended nor should it be used for medical diagnosis or treatment. Consult you physician before starting
any new dietary or supplement program.

BERBERINE AND THE LDL
CHOLESTEROL RECEPTOR
The LDL receptor is found on the surface of our cells.
It is able to initiate a binding of LDL cholesterol so that it doesn't remain as available to deposit in the arterial
wall. Berberine, a naturally occurring alkaloid found in the her oregon grape root, has shown the ability to up-regulate
the LDL receptor. Oral administration of 500mg of berberine twice daily for 3 months to patients, reduced serum cholesterol
by 29%, triglycerides by 35%, and LDL cholesterol by 25%. ref: AmJCINut, 2008.

DELTA TOCOTRIENOLS
FOR CHOLESTEROL
Delta Tocotrienol is part
of the vitamin E group. It has a unique structure from the other tocopherol and tocotrienol fractions of vitamin E that
makes it a powerful antioxidant and also provides the ability to affect cholesterol and triglyceride levels. According
to Barrie Tan, Ph.D., the top tocotrienol researcher, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels were lowered
in study subjects by 15%-20% with delta tocotrienol at doses of 75-100mg a day. tocotrienol supplements should be taken
at different times than regular vitamin E supplements to avoid absorption interference. The best source of delta form
tocotrienols is from the anatto plant. ref: AmJCINut, 2008. AOCS,
