LOWER YOUR HEALTH COSTS

Over 38% of all deaths are attributable to avoidable lifestyle choices including poor diet, inactivity, tobacco and alcohol use.  Current supplementation and nutrition research haves shown to be important and controllable factors in reversing this trend.

A recent study found that supplementation with calcium plus vitamin D and folic acid could save $15 billion per year in health care costs.  The same study is investigating the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, glucosamine and saw palmetto berries.  Researchers have determined that omega-3 fatty acids, as found in fish oils, exhibit profound health benefits in studies involving the chronic conditions of depression, cardiovascular disease, kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis and asthma.

As government searches for answers to health care costs, the solution may point to us as individuals.  We are here to help you implement an effective diet and supplementation plan to feel better and live longer.

VITAMIN K2 FOR ARTERIES & BONES

Vitamin K has long been known to be necessary for normal blood clotting.  Now exciting new research is showing the important role vitamin K1 and particularly vitamin K2 have in bone and artery calcium metabolism.

Calcium from blood and artery tissue is carried to the bones by certain proteins.  These proteins are activated by vitamin K2, causing an acid to bind to the proteins.  This particular process, called carcoxylation, tends to become lower as we age, potentially leaving more calcuim in the soft tissues and less in the bones.

There are two available forms of vitamin K2, MK-4 and MK-7.  MK-7 appears to be the most efficient form per milligram but MK-4 has also had very positive results in recent reported studies.  This is very important research and vitamin K2's role in both bone and cardiovascular health will continue to show great significance as more studies reach completion.
