APPETITE OUT
OF CONTROL?
Many
of us battle our appetite throughout the day. Several things could be occurring:
- Inadequate protein and fat at meals;
something needs to stick to your ribs to get you to the next meal!
- You may be consuming too many quick-digesting
carbohydrates which raise insulin levels. A strong insulin spike can reduce blood sugar too much and make you feel hungry.
-
High cortisol levels from constant stress can make you crave carbohydrates.
So, what should you try to eat at every meal?
- Lean protein and
fish in an amount equal to the palm of your hand.
- Beneficial fat from avocadoes, extra virgin olive oil, and monosaturate nuts
- Carbohydrates like
whole fruits and vegetables.
- If your cortisol levels are high, consider Relora, a plant derived substance which reduces cortisol.
