Depression, and mental health issues in general, are being connected more and more to nutrition.  Researchers looked at the link between vitamin B6 and depression.

Hundreds of adults were followed for three years.  They had their depression levels scored along with their serum levels of vitamin B6.

After three years, those with the highest B6 levels had the lowest depression scores.  This maybe due to its role in neurotransmitter synthesis.
