Folate & Your Brain

With so many parents looking to make sure their kids have all the tools for academic success, a new study points to the b vitamin folate as a possible tool.

Researchers looked at over 5,000 children from ages 6 to 16.  They measured their folate levels and compared them to their scores on various cognitive tests. 

They found that higher folate levels were associated with higher reading and block design scores.
