Asthma and allergy sufferers may have a new tool to help them breathe easier.  During an asthma attack and for some people during allergy season, the muscles surrounding the lungs tighten up making it difficult to breathe.

A new study tested ginger on this specific type of muscle fiber and found that it caused “significant and rapid relaxation”.  You can add ginger to your diet, but be aware of ginger ales and ginger snaps as they can be high in carbs.
