Phosphatidylserine & ADHD

Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can be a struggle to deal with both for the children who have it and the adults who take care of them.  There is a lot of research being done to understand what factors are involved and what can be done to help.

A new study looked at whether or not phosphatidylserine supplementation could help.  It is naturally found in many organs, including the brain.  Thirty six children from ages 4 to 14 were given either 200mg phosphatidylserine or placebo for two months.

Their results showed that phosphatidylserine significantly improved ADHD symptoms, short term auditory memory, inattention and impulsivity.
