Your Second Brain

Very interesting research has recently been published regarding the role of probiotics on our mental health.  We have known that there is a gut-brain connection, but this new study shows that probiotics may also play a part.

Subjects were given either a probiotic or placebo twice a day for four weeks.  Before and after the study they underwent fMRI scans to measure brain activity.

They found that the probiotic group had significant changes in their resting brain activity and response rate.
